The replacement timing for sprockets is very ambiguous, with no clear standard.
A key indicator for this is "wear on the tips of the teeth."
If the tips of the teeth become pointed, or if the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
When replacing sprockets, it is recommended to replace the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain all at the same time. If you only replace one of these components, the worn parts that were not replaced will prevent the new part from performing at its best and reduce its lifespan. Therefore, replacing all three simultaneously will lead to greater longevity in the long run.
Changing the gear ratio will cause speedometer display errors, so use in racing is recommended.
As a general guideline, inspect your sprockets every 1000 km of travel.
