"Wear on the tooth tips" is a key indicator to consider.
If the tooth tips become pointed, or if the sides or belly of the teeth are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
Replacing the front and rear sprockets and chain simultaneously: If you only replace one of these parts, the worn parts that haven't been replaced will cause the new parts to perform below their potential and wear out faster. Therefore, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended for long-term durability.
Changing the gear ratio will cause an error in the speedometer reading, so its use is recommended for racing.
For general riding, inspect the sprockets approximately every 1000km.
