■Product Description
Mousse is a device made of foamed rubber that not only prevents punctures in harsh off-road sections but also possesses dynamic characteristics that allow for faster, more efficient, and easier off-road racing. Metzeler mousse is an alternative to inner tubes for off-road tires used in motocross and enduro competitions. When installed, it simulates an inflation pressure equivalent to 0.7 bar +/- 0.1 bar, which is much lower than the recommended pressure for on-road use.
Therefore, if participating in a race using mousse, special attention must be paid to the suspension settings.
Metzeler mousse is marked with NHS and is prohibited for use on public roads.
When installing mousse, the lubrication gel must be fully applied to the inside of the tire, avoiding the bead.
Metzeler mousse is available in 18-inch, 19-inch, and 21-inch sizes and must be installed using Metzeler mousse gel.
