Originally a race part used in road racing, it was developed to reduce the burden on the engine caused by damage during severe falls on the circuit. Moriwaki thoroughly reviewed the materials, shape, and strength of each part to further improve reliability when commercializing it. For example, the material and shape of the pad have been improved and evolved over many years.
