【NGK P539A-95295 Radiator Cap 95295 Standard Type】
■Product Description
NTK radiator caps maintain proper pressure within the radiator through the operation of a main pressure valve (pressure valve) and a negative pressure valve.
When the temperature rises and the pressure becomes too high, the main pressure valve inside the cap activates to adjust the pressure.
Conversely, when the temperature drops and the pressure decreases, the negative pressure valve activates to maintain proper pressure within the radiator.
Specifications
Opening Pressure: 88kPa (0.9kg/cm2)
NTK radiator caps prevent engine overheating by increasing the pressure inside the radiator and raising the boiling point of the coolant. For example, with an opening pressure of 88kPa, the boiling point of water increases by approximately 20℃, reaching about 120℃.
【Features】
Key components are made from corrosion-resistant and stable materials.
Individual parts are optimally designed for superior strength and durability.
Sealing rubber material uses enhanced heat and LLC resistance.
【Side Effects of a Defective Radiator Cap】
Degradation or deformation of the seal, damage to the seal, dirt, rust, or deposits inside the radiator cap can impair the function of the main and negative pressure valves, leading to overheating.
【Replacement Procedure】
Removing the radiator cap when the coolant temperature is high, immediately after stopping the engine, can cause hot water or steam to eject,
posing a risk of burns.
Please perform the work after the engine has sufficiently cooled down and the water temperature has dropped.
1. Prepare a towel or similar item.
2. Place the towel over the radiator cap and slowly loosen it.
Stop midway to release the pressure inside the radiator.
3. After releasing the pressure, slowly remove the radiator cap.
Be careful not to remove it all at once, as hot water or steam may eject.
4. Check the condition of the removed radiator cap.
5. Check the operating condition of the radiator cap with a radiator cap tester.
Even if the radiator cap appears to be in normal condition, the opening pressure may have decreased due to spring fatigue or other issues.
6. When installing a new radiator cap, tighten it securely until the tab meets the stopper position.

■Precautions
When inspecting or replacing, always stop the engine and perform the work when the engine is cool. Failure to do so may result in fire or burns.
Do not use this product on vehicles other than those for which it is compatible. This may cause overheating.
Please confirm your vehicle's model year, model number, and engine model using your vehicle inspection certificate or similar document.
Even if the model year, model number, and engine model are the same, the compatible radiator cap may differ, so please check the actual product (shape and pressure).
Coolant immediately after driving is under pressure. Removing the radiator cap at this time can cause hot water or steam to eject, posing a risk of burns. Please remove it only after the engine has sufficiently cooled and the water temperature has dropped.
After removing the old radiator cap, if there are any foreign objects on the mounting surface, wipe them clean before installing the new radiator cap.
When installing the radiator cap, ensure it is securely tightened until the tab on the radiator cap meets the stopper position on the radiator body's mounting opening.
