Racing plugs, recommended for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, are available in various types to further improve performance when used in races, circuit driving, or with increased engine output due to tuning.
Consequently, their shape differs from the manufacturer's standard plugs, and the plug's lifespan and low-speed performance may be slightly compromised.
However, on the other hand, they are developed and designed to perform sufficiently and withstand even extremely tuned engines and very severe operating conditions, with a wide range of heat ratings set.

Important points when choosing racing plugs
Please check the screw size, plug type, and shape from the part number of the genuine plug or the plug you are currently using, and then select the corresponding type.
Refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the firing end shape.
The heat rating needs to be selected considering the increase in combustion temperature due to engine output improvement and operating conditions, in order to maintain the plug's firing end temperature within the optimal range.
Simply increasing the heat rating alone will not improve engine performance.
Generally, heat ratings 7 to 8 are used for street driving, 8 to 9 for track day specifications, and 9 to 10 for race specifications.
Regarding the presence or absence of a resistor in the plug, there is almost no difference recently due to improved ignition system performance.
Resistor types will become mainstream in the future.
Conversely, using non-resistor types may cause engine trouble in some models of certain vehicles.
In such cases, always use a resistor type.
