Precautions when choosing racing spark plugs
Please determine the screw size, plug type, and shape from your genuine plug or the part number of the plug you are currently using, and select the corresponding type.
Refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the ignition end shape.
The heat rating must be chosen considering the increase in combustion temperature due to increased engine output and operating conditions, in order to maintain the plug's ignition end temperature within the optimal range.
Simply increasing the heat rating alone will not improve engine performance.
Generally, heat ratings of 7-8 are used for street use, 8-9 for track day specifications, and 9-10 for race specifications.
Regarding the presence or absence of a resistor in the plug, there is almost no difference recently due to improvements in ignition system performance.
