【NGK R7433-8 Racing Spark Plug 4889 ngk r7433-8-4889】
Racing spark plugs, recommended for two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles, come in various types designed to further enhance performance when used in races, circuit driving, or with engines whose output has been increased through tuning.
Consequently, their shape differs from the manufacturer's standard spark plugs, and plug life and low-speed performance may be slightly compromised.
However, on the other hand, they are developed and designed to fully demonstrate performance even in extremely tuned engines or under very severe operating conditions, and are set to withstand these conditions, with a wide range of heat ratings up to very high values.
Please select the appropriate plug for your individual engine to achieve its full performance potential.
Important points when choosing racing spark plugs
Please determine the thread size, plug type, and shape from the genuine plug or the part number of the plug you are currently using, and then select the corresponding type.
Please refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on choosing the spark tip shape.
The heat rating needs to be selected considering the increase in combustion temperature due to engine output improvement and operating conditions, in order to maintain the spark plug's firing end temperature within the optimal range.
Simply increasing the heat rating alone will not improve engine performance.
Generally, heat ratings of 7 to 8 are used for street driving, 8 to 9 for track day specifications, and 9 to 10 for race specifications.
In recent years, due to advancements in ignition system performance, there is almost no difference whether a plug has a resistor or not.
Resistor-type plugs will become the mainstream in the future.
Conversely, non-resistor types may cause engine trouble in some models of certain vehicle types.
In such cases, please be sure to use a resistor-type plug.
