Racing plugs, recommended for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, are available in various types aimed at further performance improvement when used in races, circuit driving, or with increased engine output due to tuning.
Consequently, their shape differs from the standard plugs specified by the manufacturer, and plug life and low-speed performance may be slightly compromised.
However, on the other hand, they are developed and designed to fully demonstrate performance even in highly tuned engines and very severe operating conditions, enduring them, and are precisely set to high heat ranges.

Important points when choosing racing plugs
From the part number of the genuine plug or the plug you are currently using, identify the thread size, plug type, and shape, and select the corresponding type.
Please refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the igniter tip shape.
The heat range needs to be selected considering the increase in combustion temperature due to improved engine output and operating conditions, in order to maintain the plug's igniter tip temperature within the optimal range.
Simply raising the heat range alone will not improve engine performance.
Generally, heat ranges 7-8 are used for street driving, 8-9 for track day specifications, and 9-10 for race specifications.
The presence or absence of a resistor in the plug makes almost no difference nowadays due to improvements in ignition system performance.
In the future, resistor types will become mainstream.
Conversely, non-resistor types may cause engine trouble in some models of some vehicle types.
In such cases, please be sure to use resistor type.
