【NGK R7435-8 Racing Spark Plug 4895 ngk r7435-8-4895】
Racing spark plugs, recommended for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, come in various types designed to further enhance performance when used in races, circuit driving, or with engines that have increased output due to tuning.
Consequently, their shape differs from the standard plugs specified by the manufacturer, and this may slightly compromise plug life or low-speed performance.
However, conversely, they are developed and designed to perform fully and withstand extremely tuned engines and very severe operating conditions, with a detailed range of heat ratings.
Please select the appropriate plug for your individual engine to achieve its full performance.
Points to consider when choosing racing spark plugs
Determine the thread size, plug type, and shape from the part number of the genuine plug or the plug you are currently using, and then select the corresponding type.
Please refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the ignition tip shape.
The heat rating needs to be selected while considering the increase in combustion temperature due to improved engine output and operating conditions, in order to keep the plug's ignition tip temperature within the optimal range.
Simply raising the heat rating alone will not improve engine performance.
For mainly city driving, #7 to #8 are generally used; for track day specifications, #8 to #9; and for race specifications, #9 to #10.
Regarding the presence or absence of a resistor in the plug, there is almost no difference recently due to improvements in ignition system performance.
Resistor types will become the mainstream in the future.
Conversely, non-resistor types may cause engine trouble in some models of certain vehicle types.
In such cases, please be sure to use a resistor type.
