Consequently, their shape differs from the manufacturer's standard plugs, and there may be a slight compromise in plug life or low-speed performance.
However, on the other hand, they are developed and designed to fully demonstrate performance and withstand even highly tuned engines and extremely harsh operating conditions, with a wide range of heat ratings up to very high values.

Precautions when choosing racing plugs
From the part number of your genuine plug or the plug you are currently using, determine the thread size, plug type, and shape, and then select the corresponding type.
Please refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the ignition end shape.
The heat range must be selected considering the increased combustion temperature due to improved engine output and operating conditions, in order to maintain the plug's ignition end temperature within the optimal range.
Simply increasing the heat range alone will not improve engine performance.
Typically, grades 7-8 are used for street driving, 8-9 for track day specifications, and 9-10 for race specifications.
The presence or absence of a resistor in the plug makes almost no difference nowadays due to improvements in ignition system performance.
Resistor type plugs will become the mainstream in the future.
Conversely, non-resistor type plugs may cause engine trouble in some models of certain vehicles.
In such cases, always use a resistor type.
