Racing plugs recommended for two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles are available in various types, designed to further improve performance when used in races, circuit driving, or with engines whose output has been increased through tuning.
Consequently, their shape differs from the manufacturer's standard plugs, and plug life and low-speed performance may be slightly compromised.
However, conversely, they are developed and designed to fully demonstrate performance even in extremely tuned engines and very harsh operating conditions, and are set with a wide range of heat ratings.

Precautions when choosing a racing plug
Please check the screw size, plug type, and shape from your genuine plug or the part number of the plug you are currently using, and select the corresponding type.
Refer to the manufacturer's website for guidance on how to choose the igniter tip shape.
The heat rating needs to be selected to maintain the plug's igniter tip temperature within the optimal range, taking into account the rise in combustion temperature due to increased engine output and operating conditions.
Simply increasing the heat rating alone will not improve engine performance.
Generally, for city driving, numbers 7-8 are used; for track days, numbers 8-9; and for racing, numbers 9-10.
The presence or absence of a resistor in the plug makes almost no difference nowadays due to improvements in ignition system performance.
Resistor-type plugs will become the mainstream in the future.
Conversely, with non-resistor type plugs, there is a risk of engine trouble in some models of some vehicle types.
In such cases, please be sure to use a resistor-type plug.
