The racing plugs recommended for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles come in various types designed to further improve performance when used in races, circuit driving, or with engines whose output has been increased through tuning.
Therefore, their shape differs from the manufacturer's standard plugs, and plug life and low-speed performance may be slightly compromised.
However, on the other hand, they are developed and designed to fully demonstrate their performance even in extremely tuned engines and under very harsh operating conditions, and are set with a wide range of heat values up to very high values.

Precautions when choosing racing plugs
From the part number of the genuine plug or the plug you are currently using, determine the thread size, plug type, and shape, and select the corresponding type.
Please refer to the manufacturer's website for how to choose the firing end shape.
The heat range needs to be selected considering the increase in combustion temperature due to engine output improvement and operating conditions, in order to keep the plug's firing end temperature in the optimal temperature range.
Simply increasing the heat range alone will not improve engine performance.
For mainly street use, plugs with a heat range of 7-8 are used; for track day specifications, 8-9; and for race specifications, 9-10.
The presence or absence of a resistor in the plug makes almost no difference nowadays due to improvements in ignition system performance.
In the future, resistor-type plugs will become the mainstream.
Conversely, non-resistor types may cause engine trouble in some models of certain vehicle types.
In such cases, always use a resistor-type plug.
