What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like material created by applying E.L. (electroluminescence) display, a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to meters.
Because E.L. sheets can be extremely thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are paneled for cars and motorcycles, attached over normal meters, and made to emit light electrically.
EL meters achieve high brightness at low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than points, the entire panel emits light uniformly without unevenness.
The vivid illumination at night, in particular, will make night touring more enjoyable.
