What is an EL Meter?
An EL (electroluminescence) display is a material that emits light when voltage is applied, and it has been applied to meters in a sheet form.
EL sheets are extremely thin (approx. 0.2mm), making it possible to create panelized versions for automobiles and motorcycles that are affixed over the standard meters to generate light electronically.
EL meters achieve high brightness with low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than individual points, the entire panel emits light evenly and uniformly.
The vivid illumination, especially at night, will surely make night touring more enjoyable.
