What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like display that applies E.L. (Electro-Luminescence), a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to a meter.
Because E.L. sheets can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are panelized for cars and motorcycles, then attached to the normal meter and electrically illuminated.
EL meters achieve high brightness at low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than a point, the entire panel emits light uniformly and evenly.
The vivid illumination at night, in particular, will make night touring more enjoyable.
