What is an EL Meter?
An EL (Electro-Luminescence) display is a sheet-like material that emits light when voltage is applied, and it has been applied to meters.
Since EL sheets can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are paneled for automobiles and motorcycles, then affixed over the normal meter and made to emit light electrically.
EL meters achieve high brightness at low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than individual points, the entire panel emits light uniformly and without unevenness.
