What is an EL Meter?
An EL (Electroluminescence) display is a material that emits light when voltage is applied, and it has been applied to meters in the form of a sheet.
Because EL sheets can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are panelized for cars and motorcycles, then attached over the normal meter and electrically illuminated.
EL meters provide high brightness at low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than points, the entire panel emits light uniformly and evenly.
