What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like material created by applying an E.L (electroluminescence) display, which emits light when voltage is applied, to a meter.
Since an E.L sheet can be made ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), a panelized version for cars and motorcycles is affixed over the normal meter and electrically illuminated.
EL meters achieve high brightness at low voltage, and since they emit light as a surface rather than a point, the entire panel illuminates evenly and uniformly.
The vivid illumination, especially at night, will surely make night touring more enjoyable.
