What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like display that applies E.L (electroluminescence), a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to meters.
Because E.L sheets can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are panelized for cars and motorcycles, then applied over normal meters and made to emit light electrically.
EL meters provide high brightness at low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than points, the entire panel emits light evenly and uniformly.
The vivid illumination at night, in particular, will make night touring more enjoyable.
