What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like material that applies E.L. (electroluminescence) display, a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to meters.
Since E.L. sheets can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), a paneled version for automobiles and motorcycles is affixed over the normal meter and electrically illuminated.
EL meters achieve high brightness with low voltage, and since they illuminate as a surface rather than points, the entire panel emits light uniformly and evenly.
The vivid illumination, especially at night, will make night touring more enjoyable.
