What is an EL meter?
It is a sheet-like material made by applying E.L (electroluminescence) display, a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to a meter.
Since E.L sheets can be made extremely thin (approx. 0.2mm), they are paneled for cars and motorcycles, pasted over normal meters, and electrically illuminated.
EL meters provide high brightness at low voltage, and since they emit light as a surface rather than a point, the entire panel illuminates evenly and uniformly.
The vivid illumination at night, in particular, will make night touring more enjoyable.
