What is an EL Meter?
An EL meter is a sheet-like material that applies E.L. (electroluminescence) display, a substance that emits light when voltage is applied, to a meter.
Since an E.L. sheet can be ultra-thin (approx. 0.2mm), a panelized version for automobiles and motorcycles is affixed to the normal meter and made to emit light electrically.
EL meters achieve high brightness with low voltage, and since they emit light as a surface rather than individual points, the entire panel illuminates evenly and uniformly.
The vivid illumination, especially at night, will surely make night touring more enjoyable.
