■Product Description
Ohlins' Grand Twin is the high-end line of Ohlins twin shocks. It is a fully adjustable shock absorber with an external reservoir tank. A free piston that isolates gas and oil is built into the large-capacity reservoir tank. This prevents cavitation and aeration, which can lead to unstable performance, and boasts high heat dissipation. Preload adjustment is a simple screw type.
S36 Rear Shock Absorber
The Ohlins Mother Model. It all started more than a quarter of a century ago, when Kenth Ohlin, the current owner of Ohlins, replaced the twin shocks on his Husqvarna while he was still an active racing rider. Over many years, the spirit of this mother model has been continuously passed down to the current models.
There are various models: the classic S36P with a reservoir tank, the lightweight and simple S36E, the S36K with beautiful chrome plating, and the full-spec S36PR1C1LB. And now, the next-generation upper model S36PR1C1L has been introduced to support current high-spec naked bikes. Ohlins' evolution knows no bounds.

New Design Cylinder Head
The oil bleed passage has been enlarged to achieve stable damping force at an even higher level.
Big Bore Reservoir Tank
With a capacity increase of more than 20% compared to conventional models, the φ49 large-capacity reservoir tank supports long strokes. It reduces the operating range of the free piston, thereby reducing gas pressure changes during strokes and effectively suppressing heat fade.

Aluminum Ultra-Lightweight Spring Adjuster
Feedback from racing experience has led to the reduction of internal sliding friction to the extreme, making "lighter" and "more rigid" a reality. The ultra-lightweight, high-stress springs are available in two types, yellow and black, to suit rider preferences. The new design, with its outstanding beauty, is a continuously variable preload adjuster with a single nut specification. The highest precision finish allows for smooth adjustment.

Spherical Type End Ball Joint
Rebound damping adjustment is a standard wide-range 30-step adjustment. Flexible settings are possible to suit various situations and rider preferences. The ride height adjustment mechanism allows for ride height adjustment to match the vehicle balance when riding and the terrain. A new spherical type end ball joint has been adopted to reduce sliding resistance and provide a direct sense of rigidity.
Wide-Range Compression Adjuster
The 20-step adjustment allows for wide and fine-tuned settings. It adopts a laminated valve type adjustment mechanism, an evolution of the conventional needle valve type. Even with excessive input when passing over high-speed bumps, oil smoothly moves to the reservoir tank. A one-way valve also operates when returning from there, releasing oil instantly. The tire smoothly holds the road surface.

To ensure protection against scratches and smooth stroke, it is polished to the world's highest level of smoothness.
