■Product Description Oil supply gear and return gear are the same width as the stock HD aluminum pump. S&S pinion and oil pump driveshaft drive gears increase oil supply by 25% over stock in pre-1972 engines. The S&S pump for 1936-67 engines using an S&S oil pump drive gear can supply 33% more oil than the stock cast iron pump. The oil pressure relief passage is machined to relieve pressure buildup at the top of the valve and maintain stable oil pressure. The oil pressure regulating bypass directs excess oil directly to the pump supply, reducing the amount of oil returned to the tank and decreasing oil aeration and cavitation.
