■Product Description HL2T specifications. Simultaneous replacement with adjustable pushrods is required. S&S hydraulic tappets are suitable for HD Evolution big twin engines and Sportster models. They are also used in S&S engines for 1966-84 big twin chassis. These tappets are characterized by many design improvements, making them ideal not only as genuine replacements but also for high-performance applications. Their features and benefits include a large inner bearing race, which reduces stress on the axle, bearing, and roller and extends their lifespan. The inner bearing race is 0.123 larger in diameter than the raceless roller axle currently used by some manufacturers. The improved design of the inner race and roller allows for the use of more and larger bearings, increasing the load transfer surface area and further reducing stress and wear on the roller. The plunger assembly has been redesigned to withstand the loads used in high-performance valve springs and cams. Improved metering precisely controls the oil path to the top end, reducing the possibility of rapid lifter pump-up and bottom-end oil starvation.
