If you install a lowering kit while keeping the genuine side stand, the side stand will be too long for the distance between the bike and the ground, and the bike will be more upright when parked compared to its genuine state.
A short side stand corrects this to an appropriate lean angle.
We recommend installing it at the same time as a lowering kit to prevent unexpected falls when parking.
