The AMPS hole pattern, a standard for mounting GPS devices such as Garmin and TomTom, has four holes spaced approximately 30x38mm apart. RAM MOUNTS' AMPS hole base is a joint part required for attaching some products, such as tablet holders and base parts that do not include the ball section. It is highly versatile and can be used not only as a joint but also as a base part by screwing it down. This is a reinforced specification with an additional bolt inserted to increase the strength of the ball's neck.
