This billet insulator band, luxuriously machined from solid aluminum, is designed to keep the rubber insulator as perfectly circular as possible.
By providing a physical stop to the tightening, it reduces the risk of the insulator deforming into an oval shape due to overtightening of the bolt, and the accompanying risk of secondary air intake.

With a focus on design from its function as a mere clamping band to the joint's fitting, it significantly enhances the aesthetics when combined with genuine VM carburetors as well as aftermarket racing carburetors.
