Metal core gaskets use 0.2mm SPCC material (steel) for the core, significantly reducing oil seepage due to torque-down (※) compared to conventional resin-based gaskets.
By sandwiching both sides of the core material with 0.2mm foamed NBR material (nitrile rubber), the gasket's conformability to the gasket surface is improved, achieving high sealing performance.
Furthermore, since this foamed NBR material does not stick to the gasket surface, you are freed from the task of peeling off the gasket when removing the engine cover, improving maintainability.
In addition, it is compatible with fully synthetic oils, which could not be used with conventional engine gaskets due to issues of "leaks and seepage," allowing for the use of the latest high-performance oils with excellent fluidity.
