The long-awaited Z1-specific performance damper kit, developed in collaboration with Active Co., Ltd.
After repeated testing, the specially tuned damper unit is mounted to the lower part of the frame, where it can most effectively absorb vehicle vibrations, without compromising the appearance or image of the "Z". From the moment you start riding, it demonstrates its effects, and riders familiar with the "Z" will experience a whole new level of comfort, with the pulsating feel of the air-cooled four-cylinder engine and the mild, high-quality ride provided by the Performance Damper (R).
Includes mounting bolts and dedicated stays necessary for installation.
What is Performance Damper (R)?
Developed by Yamaha for four-wheeled vehicles, it is an innovative damper unit designed to suppress vibrations from the engine and frame while driving. Instead of simply increasing body rigidity like a subframe, the damper unit itself absorbs and dampens vehicle sway, proving effective in improving cornering stability and reducing vibrations. It is now used in various mobilities, not just four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles.
