■Detailed Description
Compared to SP Takegawa's Super Head +R with large diameter 2 valves, increasing the number of intake and exhaust valves to two each has further expanded the valve curtain area, enabling higher intake and exhaust efficiency than with large diameter 2 valves.
In addition, with the adoption of 4 valves, the cylinder head shape has been designed to balance the center plug, valve angle, combustion chamber shape, and port shape, allowing for higher output and achieving the sustained output characteristics at high RPMs that are a major feature of the Super Head.
By adopting a 1-cam, 4-valve design, we have achieved the lightest and most compact possible head, while condensing the performance as the strongest SOHC head.
●New shape Super Head 4-valve +R body
The rounded cylinder head shape complements the Monkey style well, enhancing the custom image of the vehicle.
Additionally, the barrel-polished die-cast head covers beautifully enhance the cylinder head.
●Valve Features
Valve diameter: Intake: 21.5mm x 2 / Exhaust: 18.5mm x 2
Valve stem shaft diameter: Intake and exhaust are both 4.0mm
●Valve Spring
Uneven pitch is adopted to prevent surging at high RPMs.
●IN/EX Port Features
The port diameter is optimized to match SP Takegawa's 3-dimensional manifold.
Additionally, by using it together with the 3-dimensional manifold, it enables smooth intake from the carburetor to the combustion chamber without resistance, maximizing the performance of the cylinder head.
●Adoption of Roller Rocker Arms
The adoption of roller rocker arms maximizes the output performance of the Super Head, increasing output in the mid to high speed range and maintaining output in the high RPM range, which is a feature of roller rocker arms.
Roller rocker arms reduce frictional resistance with the camshaft that occurs with slipper-type rocker arms (genuine part type).
The roller bearings built into the rocker arms smoothly follow the cam profile from low to high RPMs.
●M8 Spark Plugs
M8 spark plugs are adopted due to the optimal valve angle resulting from the 4-valve design and the compactness of the head.
