■Detailed Description
The SP Takegawa tensioner arm is precisely machined from high-strength extra super duralumin, increasing its thickness to enhance the strength of the arm body and further enlarge the contact area with the push rod.
This reduces the caving and damage to the rubber at the tip of the push rod, significantly extending the life of the push rod.
An oil hole is provided in the arm body to lubricate the moving parts.
The arm surface is hard anodized.
Since the stock tensioner arm is formed from sheet metal, there is less contact area with the push rod, and the rubber at the tip of the push rod caves in to the shape of the sheet thickness.
Also, prolonged use with a high-power engine can severely deform the stock tensioner arm and damage the push rod head.
In this case, proper tension is not applied to the cam chain, which can lead to engine trouble.
