SP Takegawa's tensioner arm is precisely machined from high-strength extra super duralumin, increasing its thickness to enhance the arm body's strength, and further increasing the contact area with the push rod.
This reduces indentation and damage to the rubber at the tip of the push rod, significantly extending the push rod's lifespan.
An oil hole is provided in the arm body to lubricate moving parts.
The arm surface is hard anodized.
Includes cam chain tensioner roller.
The stock tensioner arm is formed from sheet metal, resulting in a small contact area with the push rod, causing the rubber at the tip of the push rod to indent in the shape of the plate thickness.
Additionally, prolonged use in high-power engines can severely deform the stock tensioner arm and damage the push rod head.
In such cases, proper tension may not be applied to the cam chain, which can lead to engine problems.
