A slipper clutch reduces back torque by disengaging the clutch when sudden engine braking occurs.
This reduces rear tire hopping due to engine braking and stress on the engine.
Improved handling allows for greater concentration on riding.
This product allows you to convert to a slipper clutch.
(This product is a kit intended for those who already own a TAKEGAWA Special Clutch for normal main shafts and a TAKEGAWA die-cast clutch cover.
Clutch structure
By using an adapter with a patented structure, you can convert to a secondary clutch while retaining the normal main shaft.
With the clutch mounted on the secondary side, the load on the crankshaft is reduced, improving response.
The pressure plate and clutch cam in the clutch section, which connects power between the crankshaft and the transmission, are equipped with a slipper structure.
This causes the pressure plate cam and clutch cam to activate when back torque is transmitted from the rear wheel, pushing down the pressure plate to create a semi-clutch state and release back torque.
Slipper clutch specifications
The clutch pressure plate, which is crucial for the slipper clutch structure, has undergone special plating to enhance its wear resistance and sliding properties with the clutch cam.
Dampers are incorporated into the primary driven gear to reduce shock during clutch engagement.
With five friction discs, it can handle high-power engines for both street and race use.
The clutch outer is made of aluminum die-cast, known for its reliable durability and strength.
Die-cast Special Clutch Cover: Patented structure (thermostat mounting section and oil line structure)
Both the clutch cover and oil filter cover are made of aluminum die-cast.
You can choose from three surface finishes: buffed clear coating, brown coating, and black coating.
The clutch cover body is equipped with an oil outlet for an oil cooler, allowing you to use Takegawa's oil cooler kit for die-cast clutch covers.
Additionally, installing the optional thermostat unit prevents overcooling.
The oil element uses a highly reliable cartridge-type paper filter.
