【SP Takegawa 02-01-0234 Special Clutch Kit with Slipper Clutch for Monkey Gorilla Engine Parts】
■Product Description
This kit includes a die-cast special clutch cover and a special clutch (slipper clutch type) for 4-, 5-, and 6-speed close-ratio transmissions.
To install this product, a SP Takegawa 4-, 5-, or 6-speed close-ratio transmission kit and a clutch lever assembly must be installed simultaneously.

■Detailed Description
●Aluminum Die-Cast Clutch Cover (Buffed and Clear Coated)
Patented structure: Thermostat mounting part and oil line structure.
The clutch cover is made of aluminum die-cast.
The surface finish is buffed and clear coated.
Oil can be taken out to the oil cooler.
As an option, a thermostat unit using a shape memory alloy spring can be installed. This prevents overcooling.
The thermostat unit is sold separately.
A highly reliable cartridge-type paper oil element is used.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
An integrated clutch cable receiver is adopted.
●Slipper Clutch (for SP Takegawa 4/5/6-speed close-ratio transmission)
When a sudden engine brake (back torque) is applied, the slipper clutch allows the clutch to slip, controlling the effectiveness of the engine brake.
This reduces sudden changes in posture due to engine braking, rear tire hopping, and stress on the engine.
Of course, during normal driving, it operates in the same way as a conventional special clutch, so the clutch will not slip even with a high-power engine.
●Slipper Clutch Structure
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch section that connects power between the crankshaft and the transmission.
This allows back torque transmitted from the rear wheel to be transferred to the clutch cam, activating the cam on the pressure plate and the clutch cam, pushing down the pressure plate to create a half-clutch state and releasing the back torque.
●Slipper Clutch Specifications
Similar to the standard clutch, a secondary side clutch mounted on the main shaft of the transmission is adopted to reduce the load on the crankshaft.
In addition, the crankshaft axis can be lightened, resulting in light throttle response.
A damper is built into the primary driven gear to reduce shock during clutch engagement.
With 5 friction discs, it is compatible with high-power engines for both street and race use.
Machined aluminum lifter plate is adopted.

*The slipper clutch cannot completely release back torque. Some back torque will be transmitted to the crankshaft, so do not perform sudden downshifts at high RPM to prevent damage to the valve mechanism.
*If purchasing the 4-speed and 6-speed close-ratio transmissions simultaneously, a crankcase gasket is required.
*A gasket is included with the 5-speed close-ratio transmission.
*When installing on vehicles with Z50J-1300017 to 1600007, the included clutch cable cannot be attached to the normal clutch holder (the type welded to the handlebar pipe), so replace the handlebar pipe and use an SP Takegawa clutch lever or a combination switch with a clutch lever.
