■Product Description
This kit includes a die-cast special clutch cover and a special clutch (slipper clutch specification) for centrifugal clutch 5-speed and 6-speed cross transmissions.
To install this product, simultaneous installation of the SP Takegawa 5-speed/6-speed cross mission kit and clutch lever & combination switch ASSY. is required.
■Detailed Description
●Aluminum Die-cast Clutch Cover (Black Painted)
Patented structure: thermostat mounting part and oil line structure
The clutch cover is made of aluminum die-cast.
The surface is finished with black paint.
Oil can be taken out to the oil cooler.
An optional thermostat unit using a shape memory alloy spring can be installed. This prevents overcooling.
The thermostat unit is sold separately.
A highly reliable cartridge-type paper oil element is used.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
An integrated clutch cable receiver is adopted.
●Slipper Clutch (for SP Takegawa 5/6-speed Cross Mission)
The slipper clutch slips the clutch when sudden engine braking (back torque) is applied, controlling the effectiveness of the engine braking.
This can reduce sudden changes in posture due to engine braking, rear wheel hopping, and stress on the engine.
Of course, during normal driving, it operates in the same way as a conventional special clutch, so the clutch will not slip even with a high-power engine.
●Slipper Clutch Structure
A special pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch part that connects the power between the crankshaft and the transmission.
This allows the back torque transmitted from the rear wheel to be transmitted to the clutch cam, causing the cam on the pressure plate and the clutch cam to operate, pushing down the pressure plate to create a half-clutch state and release the back torque.
●Slipper Clutch Specifications
Similar to the standard clutch, a secondary clutch is installed on the main shaft of the transmission, reducing the load on the crankshaft.
It also allows for a lighter crankshaft axis, providing a lighter throttle response.
Dampers are incorporated into the primary driven gear to reduce shock during clutch engagement.
With five friction discs, it can handle high-power engines for both street and race use.
An aluminum machined lifter plate is adopted.

*The slipper clutch cannot completely release back torque. Some of it is transmitted to the crankshaft, so sudden downshifts at high RPM should not be performed to prevent damage to the valve mechanism.
*If purchasing the 6-speed cross mission simultaneously, a crankcase gasket is required. The 5-speed cross mission includes a gasket.
*When installing on vehicles with Z50J-1300017 to 1600007, the included clutch cable cannot be attached to the normal clutch holder (the type welded to the handlebar pipe), so replace the handlebar pipe and use an SP Takegawa clutch lever or a combination switch with a clutch lever.
*The included clutch cable and separately sold clutch lever & combination switch ASSY. cannot be attached to the normal clutch holder (the type welded to the handlebar pipe), so the handlebar pipe needs to be replaced.
