■Product Description
You can convert the stock centrifugal clutch to a manual clutch type.
The die-cast special clutch cover comes with a special clutch for centrifugal clutches (slipper clutch specification).
Simultaneous installation of a 3-speed close-ratio gear or 4-speed close-ratio mission kit and clutch lever ASSY. is required.
For CRF50F and XR50R, the top bridge and stock handlebars must be replaced with φ22.2 handlebars.
■Detailed Description
●Aluminum Die-cast Clutch Cover (Black Painted)
Patented structure: Thermostat mounting part and oil line structure
The clutch cover is made of aluminum die-cast.
The surface finish is black paint.
Oil can be taken out to the oil cooler.
Optionally, a thermostat unit using shape memory alloy springs can be installed. This prevents overcooling.
The thermostat unit is sold separately.
A highly reliable cartridge paper type is used for the oil element.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
A cover-integrated clutch cable receiver is adopted.
●Slipper Clutch
When sudden engine braking (back torque) is applied, the slipper clutch slips the clutch and controls the effectiveness of the engine braking.
This reduces sudden changes in posture due to engine braking, rear tire hopping, and stress on the engine.
Of course, during normal driving, it operates in the same way as a conventional special clutch, so the clutch will not slip even with a high-power engine.
●Slipper Clutch Structure
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch part that connects power between the crankshaft and the mission.
This allows the back torque transmitted from the rear wheel to be transmitted to the clutch cam, causing the pressure plate cam and clutch cam to operate, pushing down the pressure plate to create a semi-clutch state and release the back torque.
●Slipper Clutch Specifications
Similar to the standard clutch, a secondary clutch attached to the main shaft of the mission is used to reduce the load on the crankshaft.
In addition, the crankshaft can be made lighter, resulting in a light throttle response.
A damper is built into the primary driven gear to reduce shock during clutch engagement.
The number of friction discs is five, compatible with high-power engines for both street and race use.
Machined aluminum lifter plate is adopted.
