■Detailed Description
●Aluminum Forged Clutch Cover (Wire-operated)
The wire-operated clutch adopts a rack & pinion system, which is highly reputed for its light and smooth operation.
The cover is made of forged aluminum and has a shot blast finish on the surface.
●Die-cast Aluminum R. Crankcase Cover
The R. crankcase cover adopts a common shape for both wet and dry types, allowing for changes between wet and dry specifications after purchase.
The clutch section has a separate chamber structure, allowing the engine oil and clutch oil to be separated (depending on brand, specifications, etc.).
The R. crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The cover surface is silver painted.
●Oil Through Nut
Significantly reduces weight when installed.
From approximately 1069g for the centrifugal oil filter to approximately 123g for the oil through nut.
By replacing the normal centrifugal oil filter with the included oil through nut, the normal centrifugal oil filter, which puts a load on the crankshaft, can be removed.
This reduces the weight on the crankshaft from approximately 1069g to approximately 123g, allowing for a significant weight reduction.
Furthermore, by reducing the load on the crankshaft, engine response is improved.
Installation of the oil through nut creates an oil line to the crankshaft.
As the oil passes through the oil element, clean oil always flows to the crankshaft.
●Built-in Oil Element
Filters impurities such as sludge and metal wear particles in the oil.
By removing impurities from the oil, engine output can be maintained.
The oil element uses a highly reliable cartridge-type paper filter.
●Oil Level Inspection Window
Allows for easy checking of the oil level. The engine oil inspection window uses durable glass.
●Large Filler Cap
Made of die-cast aluminum with a chrome-plated finish.
Enlarging the oil filler opening makes oil changes easier.
●Oil Outlet
Oil can be directly extracted from the cover body to the oil cooler.
SP Takegawa offers an oil cooler kit for special clutch covers.
●Patented Structure
Thermostat mounting section and oil line structure.
When an oil cooler kit (specifying oil extraction from the special clutch cover) is installed, an optional thermostat unit can be installed to prevent overcooling.
●New Mechanism
Adopts a new mechanism that allows the oil line flowing to the cylinder head side to be routed via the oil element.
By installing the separately sold oil line hose kit, the oil flowing to the head side can also pass through the oil element.
This prevents engine damage caused by oil sludge, etc.
To install the oil line hose, it is necessary to use the oil cooler outlet boss on the SP Takegawa big bore cylinder (with oil outlet boss).
●Special Clutch Inner Kit TYPE-R (6-disc specification)
By reducing the diameter of rotating parts such as the clutch outer, power loss due to oil diffusion is reduced, and further improvements in response and reduction in rotating mass weight are achieved, transmitting engine power efficiently.
The 6-disc configuration increases clutch capacity, supporting high-power engines. In addition, the clutch unit is common to both wet and dry types, allowing for changes between both specifications.
When changing from a wet clutch to a dry clutch, it is necessary to replace the friction discs, but when changing from a dry clutch to a wet clutch, you can use them as is.
*This is limited to cases where consumable parts do not need to be replaced. Clutch covers, etc., are also required separately.
●Slipper Clutch Structure
The slipper clutch reduces the sudden engine braking shock caused by downshifting at high RPMs.
This reduces sudden changes in posture, rear wheel hopping, and stress on the engine.
●Primary Driven Gear with Built-in Damper
Incorporates a rubber damper to reduce shock to gears, etc., when the clutch engages.
