Thermostat unit for oil cooler

It employs a two-way bias type structure using a shape memory alloy spring.
By using a shape memory alloy spring, the reaction to temperature changes is extremely fast.
Even if the oil cooler becomes clogged and oil pressure rises, the bias spring ensures a relief passage.
When the oil temperature is low, the thermostat unit opens the passage, so oil does not flow to the oil cooler but enters the filter via the bypass passage.
When the temperature is approximately 70℃ or higher, the passage closes and oil flows to the oil cooler, preventing overcooling.
