■Detailed Description
●Adopts a universal right crankcase cover
The right crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The cover surface is silver painted.
The right crankcase cover shape is designed to be used with either a wet clutch or a dry clutch.
Even after purchasing a dry clutch, it can be changed to a special clutch (wet type).
*Specification changes require separate purchase of SP Takegawa specified parts.
●Aluminum Billet Clutch Cover (Hydraulic Type)
The cover is made of aluminum billet with a clear anodized finish.
The bleeder valve and hose fitting parts have a new shape, and multiple ventilation holes are arranged to enhance cooling efficiency.
Furthermore, to improve clutch operation, the release piston diameter has been enlarged from the conventional φ29.5 to φ33, making clutch lever operation lighter.
Optional parts: A soundproofing rubber cap that reduces the noise peculiar to dry clutches can be installed.
●Built-in oil element
Filters impurities such as sludge and metal wear powder in the oil.
Removing impurities from the oil helps maintain engine output.
The oil element uses a reliable cartridge-type paper filter.
●With oil level check window
Allows checking of the oil level.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
●Adopts a large oil filler cap
Made of die-cast aluminum with a chrome-plated finish.
Enlarging the oil filler opening makes oil changes easier.
■Clutch unit change
By changing from the normal crankshaft (primary side) to the mission's main shaft (secondary side), the load on the crankshaft is reduced, and the crankshaft axis can be lightened, resulting in a lighter throttle response.
●6-disc specification
Downsizing compared to conventional products reduces rotational mass by approximately 12%. Six friction discs are used to achieve a 6-disc configuration.
This increases the clutch capacity by approximately 20% compared to conventional products, making it compatible with high-power engines.
●Slipper clutch mechanism
The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking caused by downshifting at high revolutions.
This reduces sudden changes in posture, rear wheel hopping, and stress on the engine.
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch section. The back torque transmitted from the rear wheel acts on the clutch cam, causing the pressure plate cam and clutch cam to operate. This pushes down the pressure plate, creating a semi-clutch state and relieving the back torque.
●Primary Driven Gear
Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock to gears during clutch engagement.
●Lifter plate
Standard specification adopts aluminum billet lifter plate.
●Clutch spring
Excellent fatigue resistance for stable clutch feel.
●TAF 5-speed cross mission kit (Super Street 5-speed)
A cross mission that effectively utilizes the power band.
●TAF 5-speed cross mission kit (return type)
While retaining the excellent features of existing SP Takegawa 5-speed cross missions, durability and operability have been further improved.
By adopting shift forks with special surface treatment and securing tooth width in conjunction with shorter stroke, durability has been enhanced.
In addition, the gears (dog part) employ the same tapered shape at the meshing part as conventional products, improving shift feel and increasing the effect of preventing malfunctions such as gear slippage.
R. crankcase cover gasket and crankcase gasket necessary for assembly are included.
