■Detailed Description
●Common Right Crankcase Cover
The right crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The cover surface is silver painted.
The right crankcase cover is designed to be used with both wet and dry clutches.
Even after purchasing a dry clutch, you can change the specification to a special (wet) clutch.
*Specification changes require separate purchase of parts specified by SP Takegawa.
●CNC Machined Aluminum Clutch Cover (Cable Type)
The cover is made of CNC machined aluminum with a clear anodized finish.
It adopts a rack & pinion system for light and smooth operation.
Ventilation holes are placed to enhance cooling performance.
For those who are concerned about the noise characteristic of dry clutches, optional rubber caps can be used to reduce the noise.
●Built-in Oil Element
Filters impurities such as sludge and metal wear particles in the oil.
By removing impurities from the oil, engine output can be maintained.
The oil element uses a reliable cartridge type paper filter.
●With Oil Level Confirmation Window
Allows checking of oil level.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
●Large Oil Filler Cap
Made of die-cast aluminum with chrome plating.
Enlarging the oil filler port makes oil changes easier.
●Clutch Unit Change
By changing the clutch from the normal crankshaft (primary side) to the mission's main shaft (secondary side), the burden on the crankshaft is reduced, and the crankshaft axis can be lightened, resulting in a lighter throttle response.
●6-Disk Specification
Compared to conventional products, it has been downsized, reducing rotational mass by approximately 12%. Six friction disks are used, achieving a 6-disk configuration.
This increases clutch capacity by approximately 20% compared to conventional products, making it compatible with high-power engines.
●Slipper Clutch Mechanism
The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking caused by downshifting at high RPMs. This reduces sudden changes in posture, rear tire hopping, and stress on the engine.
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch section. When back torque transmitted from the rear wheel acts on the clutch cam, the cam on the pressure plate and the clutch cam engage, pushing down the pressure plate to create a semi-clutch state, thereby releasing the back torque.
●Primary Driven Gear
Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock to gears when the clutch engages.
●Lifter Plate
Standard specifications use a CNC machined aluminum lifter plate.
●Clutch Spring
Excellent fatigue resistance for a stable clutch feel.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (S Touring 5-speed)
A cross mission that effectively utilizes the power band.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (Return Type)
While retaining the benefits of the existing SP Takegawa 5-speed cross mission, durability and operability have been further improved.
By adopting shift forks with special surface treatment and ensuring tooth width to accommodate shorter strokes, durability has been improved.
In addition, the gears (dog part) adopt the same tapered shape of the meshing part as conventional products, which improves shift feel and enhances the effect of preventing malfunctions such as gear slippage.
R. crankcase cover gasket and crankcase gasket required for assembly are included.
