■Detailed Description
●Common Right Crankcase Cover
The right crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The cover surface is painted silver.
The right crankcase cover is designed to be compatible with both wet and dry clutches.
Even after purchasing a dry clutch, it can be converted to a Special Clutch (wet type).
*Specification changes require the separate purchase of SP Takegawa specified parts.
●Machined Aluminum Clutch Cover (Wire Type)
The cover is made of machined aluminum with a clear anodized finish.
It employs a rack and pinion system for light and smooth operation.
Ventilation holes are arranged to enhance cooling performance.
For those concerned about the unique noise of dry clutches, an optional rubber cap can be used to reduce the noise.
●Built-in Oil Element
Filters impurities such as sludge and metallic wear particles in the oil.
Removing impurities from the oil helps maintain engine output.
The oil element uses a reliable cartridge-type paper filter.
●Oil Level Check Window
Allows checking of the oil level.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
●Large Oil Filler Cap
Made of die-cast aluminum with a chrome-plated finish.
The larger oil filler port makes oil changes easier.
●Clutch Unit Change
By changing from the normal crankshaft (primary side) to the mission main shaft (secondary side), the load on the crankshaft is reduced, and the crankshaft axis is lightened, resulting in a lighter throttle response.
●6-Disc Specification
Compared to conventional products, downsizing has been achieved, reducing the rotational mass by approximately 12%. Six friction discs are used, achieving a 6-disc configuration.
This increases the clutch capacity by approximately 20% compared to conventional products, making it compatible with high-power engines.
●Slipper Clutch Mechanism
The slipper clutch reduces the sudden engine braking shock caused by downshifting at high RPMs. This helps to reduce sudden changes in posture, rear wheel hopping, and engine load.
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch unit. The back torque transmitted from the rear wheel is transmitted to the clutch cam, which then operates the cam on the pressure plate and the clutch cam, pushing down the pressure plate to create a semi-clutch state and releasing the back torque.
●Primary Driven Gear
Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock to gears when the clutch is engaged.
●Lifter Plate
The slipper clutch specification uses a die-cast aluminum lifter plate.
●Clutch Spring
Excellent fatigue resistance for a stable clutch feel.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (Super Street 5-Speed)
A cross mission that effectively utilizes the power band.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (Return Type)
While retaining the excellent features of the existing SP Takegawa 5-speed cross mission, durability and operability have been further improved.
By adopting a shift fork with special surface treatment and ensuring tooth width to match the shorter stroke, durability has been improved.
In addition, the gears (dog part) adopt the same tapered shape of the meshing part as conventional products, improving shift feel and enhancing the effect of preventing malfunctions such as gear slippage.
R. crankcase cover gasket and crankcase gasket required for assembly are included.
