■Detailed Description
●Shared Right Crankcase Cover
The right crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The cover surface is painted silver.
The right crankcase cover is designed to be used with both wet and dry clutches.
Even after purchasing a dry clutch, you can change the specification to a special clutch (wet type).
*A separate purchase of SP Takegawa specified parts is required for specification changes.
●Aluminum Machined Clutch Cover (Wire Type)
The cover is made of machined aluminum with clear anodized finish.
It adopts a rack & pinion system for light and smooth operation.
Ventilation holes are arranged to enhance cooling effect.
For those concerned about the unique noise of dry clutches, optional rubber caps can be used to reduce noise.
●Built-in Oil Element
Filters impurities such as sludge and metal wear particles in the oil.
By removing impurities from the oil, it is possible to maintain engine output.
The oil element uses a reliable cartridge-type paper filter.
●Oil Level Check Window
Allows you to check the oil level.
Durable glass is used for the engine oil check window.
●Large Oil Filler Cap
Made of die-cast aluminum with chrome plating.
The enlarged oil filler port makes oil changes easier.
●Change in Clutch Unit
By changing from the normal crankshaft (primary side) to the transmission main shaft (secondary side), the burden on the crankshaft is reduced, and the crankshaft axis can be lightened, resulting in light throttle response.
●6-Disc Specification
Compared to conventional products, downsizing has been achieved, reducing rotational mass by approximately 12%. Six friction discs are used, achieving a 6-disc configuration.
This increases the clutch capacity by approximately 20% compared to conventional products, making it compatible with high-power engines.
●Slipper Clutch Mechanism
The slipper clutch alleviates the sudden engine braking shock caused by downshifting at high RPMs. This reduces sudden changes in posture, rear tire hopping, and engine load.
A dedicated pressure plate and clutch cam are provided in the clutch unit. When back torque is transmitted from the rear wheel to the clutch cam, the cam on the pressure plate and the clutch cam engage, pushing down the pressure plate to create a semi-clutch state, thereby releasing the back torque.
●Primary Driven Gear
Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock when gears engage during clutch connection.
●Lifter Plate
The standard specification uses a machined aluminum lifter plate.
●Clutch Spring
Excellent fatigue resistance, achieving a stable clutch feel.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (S-Touring 5-Speed)
A cross mission that allows effective use of the power band.
●TAF 5-Speed Cross Mission Kit (Return Type)
While retaining the advantages of the existing SP Takegawa 5-speed cross mission, durability and operability have been further improved.
By adopting a shift fork with special surface treatment and ensuring tooth width to match the short stroke, durability has been improved.
Furthermore, the gears (dog sections) adopt the same tapered shape of the engaging parts as conventional products, improving shift feeling and enhancing the effect of preventing malfunctions such as gear slippage.
The R. crankcase cover gasket and crankcase gasket required for assembly are included.
