SS 5-Speed Close Ratio Transmission Kit (S-Touring) Monkey (for Dry Clutch/B-Type)

The Super Sports 5-speed close-ratio transmission allows you to effectively use the powerband without stress. Even if you increase the engine's output, a normal transmission cannot fully utilize the powerband. Installing this "SS 5-speed close-ratio transmission" allows you to use the powerband without stress during street riding, cornering, and racing, maximizing the custom engine's potential. There are two types: one for normal clutches, Takegawa's reinforced clutches, and special clutches (5-disc), and another for dry clutches.

If you have a centrifugal clutch, please purchase the manual clutch kit first, then select this kit.

Shift pattern: Return type

The included shift forks (center and right) have been specially surface-treated to improve durability.

The kit includes an R. crankcase cover gasket and a crankcase gasket, which are necessary for transmission assembly.

The SS 5-speed close-ratio transmission kit for Monkey/Gorilla (carburetor models) includes two types of crankcase gaskets: one for 6V and one for 12V.

*For 6V Monkey/Gorilla (Z50J-1300017~1805927), which are A-type spindle vehicles, it is necessary to change to a B-type spindle.

B-type Kick Starter Spindle Kit (02-04-001)

*If you are using the old special clutch kit (3-disc/4-disc type), you will need to purchase a separate main shaft (00-02-0084).

*Monkey RT (AB22-1007601~) and Monkey R (AB22-1011926~) owners should purchase the Monkey/Gorilla transmission kit mentioned above and replace the normal neutral switch rotor with the neutral switch rotor included in the Takegawa transmission kit.
