Aluminum Catch Tank Structure (Buff Polished Finish)
Engine internal pressure can be input to the catch tank from the cylinder head and crankcase, and output can be either oil return to the clutch cover and storage tank or atmospheric release.
In addition, a separator is built into the catch tank, which suppresses oil entering simultaneously with the internal pressure and returns the oil to the clutch cover.
A clear black hose with excellent flexibility is used, and its transparent nature allows the fluid inside to be seen, enhancing the presence of the catch tank.
For Monkey (FI models), pressure cannot be released from the standard head cover.
By purchasing the die-cast aluminum Z-style head cover, a tappet breather cap can be installed, allowing pressure to be released.
In that case, the kit does not include a tappet breather cap, so please purchase it along with the Z-style head cover (01-18-0036).
Regarding Tappet Breather Cap Installation (including Monkey (FI models))
If a tappet breather cap for a standard / R Stage cylinder head is installed, it cannot be used simultaneously with a Takegawa oil cooler kit.
To use it simultaneously with a Takegawa oil cooler kit, the oil cooler body must be a 3-fin type, and you must also purchase the optional tappet breather cap (swivel type) separately.
*Simultaneous installation of a tappet breather cap and an oil cooler (4-fin type) is not possible.
*Cannot be installed on Monkey BAJA.
*Cannot be installed simultaneously with a standard muffler or an up-type muffler.
*Monkey/Gorilla (AB27-1000001~) and Monkey (FI models) are vehicles conforming to the 1998 regulations, so do not release to atmosphere.
